NYSSBA elects vice president

A member of the Bethlehem, Capital Region BOCES and Tech Valley High boards of education has been elected first vice president of the New York State School Boards Association Board of Directors.

Lynne Lenhardt began her one-year term on Jan. 1. According to a statement by NYSSBA, they provide ?advocacy, training and information to school boards in support of their mission to govern the state?s public schools.?

Lenhardt has been a director with NYSSBA since 2002 and was re-elected to her sixth two-year term as NYSSBA?s Area 7 Director. Area 7 represents school districts in Albany, Columbia, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren and Washington counties.

She has also served as president and vice president to the Bethlehem Central Board of Education as well as serving as president and vice president of the Capital Region BOCES board. Lenhardt is also a member of the Tech Valley High School operating board.
